workshops and teaching
Since 2023, Ganslmeier & Zibelnik have lead a workshop programme on visual literacy as a method of mediating their exhibition installations with young audiences. Their workshop has been implemented at over 18 art institutions and high schools across Europe as an intensive introduction to visual literacy. Developed in dialogue with museum education departments, including FOAM Amsterdam, the workshop has travelled across a network of European and international cultural and educational institutions, among them the Finnish Museum of Photography, the Museum of Contemporary Art Ljubljana, Mozarteum University Salzburg, Organ Vida Festival in Zagreb, Spandau Citadel, Communal Gallery Berlin, and others. The programme has been officially licensed to the Museum of Forced Labor under National Socialism in 2025.
Ganslmeier led the course Participatory Methods in Documentary Photography at HTW University of Applied Sciences Berlin from 2023 to 2025. Since 2025, he has been teaching Unstable Archives: Reclaiming Memory Amidst Digital Excess at the International Center of Photography in New York, alongside Alexey Yurenev. From 2020 to 2021, Ganslmeier directed an educational programme under the Goethe Institute in Kyiv, focusing on the history of displacement through photography for high school students in Ukraine, Poland, and Germany.
